We offer a variety of swimming activities for adults:

Adult beginner swimming lessons

Always wanted to learn to swim? It’s never too late. We have helped even the most nervous of adults overcome their fears and learn to swim and even more importantly learn to love the water!! So don’t miss out any longer take the plunge! We hold small group classes on a Tuesday at either 11am or 7pm.

Adult private 1 to 1 Lesson

Group lessons don’t work for everyone; a private 1 to 1 or 2 to 1 lesson can sometimes be a preferred option. We can tailor your lesson to whatever your needs are to maximise your improvement and confidence in swimming. So whether you are a complete beginner or would just love to master the front crawl breathing book in for a private lesson with one of our friendly teachers and we will soon have you loving the water as well as gaining health benefits.

Adult intensive 1 week crash course

Once a year we hold a week’s intensive crash course on swimming for adult beginners and improvers. You will have an hours lesson every evening for one week. This is a excellent way to help you overcome any fears, gain water confidence quickly or to help you build upon your swimming skills so that you can go to a public pool and know you can swim safely and confidently.

Our classes are suitable for all ages, shapes, and sizes as well as swimmers and non-swimmers so come on what are you waiting for, come and splash your way into shape!!

Adult Lane Swimming

If you would prefer just to come and do a few laps by yourself or with friends we are open for adult lane swimming at the following times:

Mornings: Monday and Thursday 6.15am – 9.30am Wednesday 8am – 9.30am
Every week day: 12pm to 1pm.
Evenings: Monday 7pm - 8.30pm & Thursday 6pm to 8pm

Remember swimming is a great exercise that benefits the whole body and the whole person! - It tones the body and provides an excellent cardiovascular workout.

Benefits of regular swimming includes building up muscle strength and stamina, improved posture, flexibility, strengthening of your heart muscles and improved delivery of oxygen to the different parts of the body. As well as all this swimming can relieve your mind from stress and tension, and be an excellent way to relax. . Therefore it will keep you in perfect shape, physically as well as mentally. Swimming can also be particularly helpful for individuals who are obese, or individuals suffering from leg or lower back problems as it offers aerobic benefits but unlike other weight training programs, swimming does not put strain on connective tissues or joints.
